Why Should I Consider Colon Cleansing?
Who would have thought that colon cleansing would be such a hot topic? It has been the subject of many health talks recently. It is now being touted as a means to improve overall health and as a means to lose weight as well.
We know that our bodies store much of the food that we take in. What we don't know is that some of this food is stored as fecal matter in the colon. The colon is an organ that's main function is to pass all of this fecal matter out of the body; however, bit by bit, the colon holds onto pieces of the waste that pass through it. This waste then becomes actually stuck or encrusted to the walls of the colon. This continues to build up over time. This is where colon cleansing comes in, as it is an effective way of ridding the body of this waste.
According to researchers, the body may be holding onto up to eight meals of undigested food. (A high fiber diet reduces this number to three meals.) Considering the average diet, this can and will become a problem if not addressed. This is a lot of extra matter in the body that we don't need that is just to slowing us down. More importantly, this matter is becoming more and more toxic as time goes on. In addition to a healthy diet, colon cleansing as little as once per year can remove much of this unnecessary and potentially dangerous matter.
The benefits of colon cleansing include overall health improvement, a higher energy level, weight loss, and easier bowel movements. Still not convinced? Then think about this -
All of that waste that is stored in your intestines or colon is developing into poisonous toxins. These can enter the body and cause a number of diseases.
If you have one bowel movement per day, you are only removing one of those three stored meals discussed above; you have all the others just sitting there.
If you experience constipation followed by diarrhea or simply experience diarrhea, the waste impacted in your colon and/or intestines may be the cause.
Other effects of a blockage in the colon can include a weak immune system or certain allergies. Simple aches and pains have also been attributed to this.
So now you see - colon cleansing is being talked about for good reason. It is the one way we have of assisting our own body in removing impurities. It is also a natural way that we can make ourselves feel better and lose weight to boot.
